Pre- and Post Nuptial Agreements
Before getting married you and your fiancé/fiancée may want to clearly set out arrangements between you dealing with financial matters such as property ownership and financial contributions (Pre-Nuptial Agreements). It is often advisable for those arrangements to be reviewed in the course of your marriage (Post-Nuptial Agreements) to see whether they should be updated as circumstances may change.
Should your relationship break down these Agreements are not automatically binding but where a Court considers the arrangements to be fair, the Agreement may be the basis of any financial settlement within divorce proceedings.
